Who we are:

The land of Both-And is brought to you by Lelania Harpal Avila (she/we) of Paradise Found, LLC.

Lelania playfully approaches challenges, utilizing the guidance of emotions to tune into inner wisdom. A scholar of sacred poetic languages, she extends a gentle invitation to explore restoration through sound current experiences, movement, and meditation. As a multi-media artist, she balances rest and play with work and community engagement.

​

Lelania expresses her creativity through calligraphy, poetry, puppetry, collage, animation and video production. A licensed Inner Field Trip® Navigator, certified Kundalini Yoga teacher, and creator of two books of poetry, including An Abecedarian Reflection: Parenting Through Childhood Cancer, she celebrates the preciousness of life. With gratitude to get to live, work, and play in the homeland of the Wabanaki Confederacy, she’s dedicated to becoming a better ancestor and global citizen. She’s currently working on a multi-media project called Addressing the Ism-Schism from the Inside Out.

BEYOND LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT

The idea of Paradise Found, LLC arose from a dream in the early 2000's on the island of Pesamkuk, located in the homeland of the vibrant community of the Wabanaki Confederacy, The People of the Dawn. We make this acknowledgement with awareness of the continual violations of water, territorial rights and sacred sites to the Wabanaki.

​

This statement acknowledges not only the harms that have occurred and continue to occur, but is also an invitation to participate in the healing process. We all play a part in this healing. There is full appreciation for the patience that has been allotted as we process through this and begin our learning journey. May we all learn how to be better guests on Mother Earth.
